Christmas lights tour by limo is one festive ride
As it gets closer to Christmas, I recently discovered a wonderful way to experience the holiday season by enjoying a limo ride through the night filled with lighted wonders that stretch on and on.
My grandson and I had the time of our lives. It wasn’t my idea however; it was a fabulous gift he and I received just ahead of the holidays.
Our driver, Stewart, of Champagne Limousine gave us the delightful tour that started at the Red Lion Hotel in Redding and meandered to south Redding’s Bonny View area and Sacramento Drive.
At a cul-de-sac, we held our breaths as the elongated vehicle made a successful wide turn. They are big and long, but can move in tight areas believe it or not. We found ourselves then headed north through town and across the Sacramento River to another residential area high above Benton Drive. The special package tour of Redding areas will continue through the holidays, I’m told.
If you want to get real creative, you can book the limo for the whole night and go south to Anderson and Cottonwood where each year many rural lighting scenes have become a tradition for as long as I can remember, probably 20-some years.
